Movies: TOS

There were 6 movies that featured the cast and characters of the original series. Star Trek: The Motion Picture was released late 1979 reuniting the crew with a now Admiral Kirk. The next three formed a trilogy:
ST II: The Wrath of Khan - widely regarded as the best of all the movies, and the one where Spock dies
ST III: The Search for Spock - they find Spock resurrected as a boy
ST IV: The Voyage Home - the one with the whales
The movie series continued for two more (ST V: The Final Frontier and ST VI: The Undiscovered Country) before handing the reins to the crew from TNG.
